Zurich-based duo Okvsho, the project of brothers Kiss, are kicking off 2026 in fine style with "Pluto", the first single from their forthcoming album, due out on September 18, 2026 via Current Moves. And if this opening track is anything to go by, the record is shaping up to be something special.
The track features London-based singer Azekel, whose silky presence adds a distinctly soulful warmth to the production. "Pluto" is everything you'd want from a late-night listen, unhurried, enveloping, built on rich textures that reward close attention. The Kiss brothers craft a sound that sits comfortably at the intersection of neo soul and R&B, with jazz influences woven in subtly enough to feel organic rather than decorative.
Among the best new jazz music of 2026 so far, "Pluto" has that rare quality of feeling both contemporary and timeless. There's an ease to it that's deceptively difficult to pull off, nothing forced, nothing overstaying its welcome. Just a beautifully constructed piece of music that settles in and stays with you.
One to watch ahead of the September release, and in the meantime, you'll find it on our Jrapzz, Jazz Now and Jazz Soul Funk playlists.
